MEC6010   Fortran for Engineers   (15 credits)

Description

Students are introduced to structured programming with Fortran with particular emphasis on writing programs to solve engineering problems. The course is taught by following a programmed text which contains information, examples and exercises. This develops the student skills from the basic topics to more advanced programming features. The module is intended for those students with little or no previous experience in programming. After completing the exercises, the student will do a project that is suited to their research topic. A pass will be given when the project has been successfully completed. The notes and hand-ins are now available via WebCT
